To do Project - Ho San
Set in the Joseon dynasty, a fantasy action game inspired by Korean traditions
Strategic Monster Hunting through Environmental Interaction Hosan integrates the natural and traditional elements of the
Joseon Dynasty into its gameplay, allowing players to go beyond simple combat and engage in strategic play by
utilizing the terrain, weather, time of day, architecture, and objects in the environment.
Players step into the richly detailed world of historical Korea to experience a realistic style of monster hunting.
Instead of relying solely on brute force, players must cleverly use their surroundings
—mountain slopes, wind direction, fog, rain, bamboo forests, thatched roofs, ancient dolmens, and more—to outwit the mythical creatures they face.
The true thrill of Hosan lies in how every hunt can unfold differently depending on how wisely the player leverages the environment around them.
SYNOPSIS
On the day the last snow settled on the mountain ridges, Dakyung wore her father's old coat.
The fabric was steeped in years of wind, blood, and the scent of beasts.
"From now on, you are the gate of the North."
Her father spoke briefly, then disappeared down the mountain.
The northern mountain, Bukryeong, had long been called the "Tear in the World." Seasons changed and eras passed, but things
—twisted and terrible—never stopped crawling through. Someone had to stop them.Dakyung stayed behind in the lone outpost,
facing her first night alone. In the pitch-black dark, footsteps approached—not of animals, but of things that spoke.
They whispered in ancient tongues, and something without name or form was drawing near.
Then, a cursed mist began to spread over the northern ridge.
